Recipes of "Rebellion"

Here are some recipes for dishes from my first novel, "Rules of Rebellion: Legends of the Mohawk Valley," with some modernization--because most of us don't know how to use " barm," (AKA the foamy, soupy yeast skimmed from the top of fermenting ale) to make dough rise, do we?
